The profound lessons conveyed in this book are invaluable

They instill a sense of empowerment in our little ones, affirming that they are inherently worthy and should not allow others to diminish their self-worth.

At The Giving Tree Centre, we comprise a seasoned team of mental health professionals driven by the mission to assist children and their families in developing the awareness, skills, and capacity to heal, grow, learn, and thrive.

Our Centre was born in response to the escalating children's mental health crisis exacerbated by the global COVID pandemic. Upon hearing numerous stories from desperate parents struggling to find quality support for their children's anxiety and other concerns, we decided to take action and committed ourselves to creating  a responsive, compassionate, and comprehensive practice, centered on supporting the inherent strengths and well-being that exist within each child and family.

Our Overarching Vision

Our goal is to move towards a world where all youth feel safe, secure, and stable, with a robust support system in place when the need arises. This journey begins by addressing the mental health and well-being of children in our local community because it’s important to realize and understand that children may not simply grow out of their problems; therefore, seeking early intervention can be a wise investment in their future development to becoming a fully functional and well-adjusted adult.

The Giving Tree Centre specializes in various therapeutic modalities, including play therapy, family therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, individual therapy, art therapy, and assessments such as psychoeducational and socioemotional evaluations for children under 18 years old. We have assembled a robust team of psychologists, psychotherapists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and parent coaches to assist children and their families in navigating a broad spectrum of challenges, from anxiety and depression to eating disorders and suicidal thoughts.

We collaborate with daycares, paediatricians, private schools, and our stories have been featured in The Toronto Star, various podcasts and blogs, and more. This recent partnership with Loving Cup Stories marks an exciting chapter for us.
